Plot summary
Bobby Johnson works in the mailroom of a large real estate investment firm, and after two years there he wants a spot in the trainee broker program, though a colleague with less time in the mailroom has already entered it. Waymon Tinsdale III is a middle manager at the same company, close to being made partner and stuck in a relationship with Diedre. During lunch with a senior partner he notices Natalie, a hostess, and freezes. Back at his desk he finds Bobby eating fast food and flirting on the phone, and the two argue about the trainee program; Waymon points to Bobby's weaker qualifications and informal clothes. Bobby spots a headshot of Natalie that Waymon kept from an earlier encounter, and proposes to bring the two of them together if Waymon backs his move into the program.
