Anne-Marie Johnson

Anne-Marie Johnson is an American actress and impressionist who was born in Los Angeles and trained in acting and theater at UCLA. She began her career in the 1970s with guest work on the Australian series Homicide and Matlock Police, then played Aileen Lewis on the short-lived comedy Double Trouble in 1984 while holding a recurring part on Hill Street Blues. She was Nadine Hudson Thomas on What's Happening Now!! from 1985 to 1988 and Althea Tibbs on In the Heat of the Night from 1988 to 1993. Her film credits include Hollywood Shuffle (1987), I'm Gonna Git You Sucka (1988), Robot Jox (1989), True Identity (1991) and Strictly Business (1991). She later joined In Living Color for its final season and appeared on Melrose Place from 1995 to 1996, and had a recurring role on JAG from 1997 to 2002. In 2008 she became the Screen Actors Guild's first national vice president.
