Plot summary
In the 1990s Joanne Skye was the voice of the Filthy Dukes, a Britpop band with a following. Her career has stalled since, and so has much else in her life. A night of drinking with her friend Sara ends with Joanne enrolled in a university marine biology program, which she takes as a chance to restart her music and find a purpose beyond it. On campus she sets out to out-party the students, only to learn that her kind of rock 'n' roll means nothing to them. Romance and new beginnings may also be part of her time at university.
