Plot summary
Zoe is close to thirty, single and broke. Her Austin waxing business, House of Wax, is losing customers to the flashier Lazer Town across the street, she is behind on the rent for the plot where her tiny home sits, and a bank loan has been refused. She has never been in love and keeps a Polaroid of everyone she sleeps with. Paul owns the video store opposite, a business that barely pays, while his wife Jane, a lawyer, supports the family. The two have not been intimate in months, and Jane suggests he have an affair, an idea he rejects. Zoe and Paul meet as guests at Lana's wedding, and an attraction builds between them.
