Plot summary
Odyssey 1 carries a three-person crew toward Titan, Saturn's largest moon, to extract methane and other vital resources and bring them back to Earth. The journey lasts years, so John, Captain Franks and aeronautics expert Nash spend it in hibernation, waking every 90 days to run system checks, do maintenance and speak briefly with Earth. During one of those cycles the ship registers a critical malfunction. Nash grows convinced that Odyssey 1 is compromised and insists the crew abort, but Captain Franks will not change course. As the disagreement sharpens, Nash's behavior becomes more erratic, and John begins to question the real condition of the ship and whether the three of them will survive the trip.
