Plot summary
The Charlestown Chiefs still play minor league hockey in Pennsylvania twenty-five years on, and fighting is still their trademark, with the Hanson Brothers on the roster. Sean Linden, a former NHL player disgraced for betting on games, serves as their player-coach and captain. After another poor season the club is bought by Better America, a family entertainment company run by the executive Richmond Claremont. He moves the team to Nebraska, renames it the Super Chiefs, hires a female coach, and arranges for the Chiefs to lose on purpose to the Omaha IceBreakers, a show team.
