Sherlock Holmes Faces Death (1943) on Netflix

Plot summary

Musgrave Manor, a Northumberland country house belonging to the Musgrave family, has been converted into a hospital for servicemen recovering from shell shock. Dr. Watson serves there as the resident physician. Among the patients is Captain Pat Vickery, an American fighter pilot, and Sally Musgrave, whose family owns the estate, has feelings for him. Her brothers, Geoffrey and Phillip, make their dismay plain. Bob Sexton, another of the doctors, is assaulted by an unknown assailant while out on a walk. Watson, in charge of the medical facility, asks Holmes to look into the attack. Holmes reaches the manor, where the family, the staff and the wounded men all come under suspicion.
