Plot summary
Alma's family placed a Mayan curse on her in revenge for her marriage to Brujo, the man who now looks after her. Snake eggs form inside her belly, and the creatures that hatch are lost parts of her that she needs to recover. Only a Mayan shaman across the border can lift the curse, and she has hours left. To reach Los Angeles she boards a train, carrying the snakes in small jars and traveling with Brujo. Ordinary passengers fill the other cars, unaware of what is on board with them. During the journey bandits come at her, and the snakes get loose.

- Co-producer David Rimawi said The Asylum only made the film after an earlier project fell through. At Cannes, Japanese investors saw the poster and asked if a giant snake really ate a train, so Rimawi had his Los Angeles crew add that scene to please them.
