Plot summary
Divers installing a power cable on the Pacific floor lose one of their group to a shark. Half a year afterward, Ben Carpenter, a lifeguard, and his partner Esai go out to catch lobster. While diving, Ben comes across the damaged cable, with a big tooth wedged in it. He frees the tooth and goes back ashore, then writes up a description of it and posts it, but nothing on the internet matches it. Cataline Stone reads the message, seeks him out and examines the tooth. In her view it belonged to a Megalodon. Ben tells his friend Chuck Rampart about the animal, and Chuck says he means to inspect the broken cable.

- John Barrowman improvised the line in which his character asks Jenny McShane's character, "What do you say I take you home and eat your pussy?" after the director told him to improvise something to make McShane laugh; director David Worth kept it because he found it hilarious.
- Barrowman said he only did the film for the money and, on QI, claimed it paid for his first house; he was embarrassed when a clip from the film was shown. The film features him before his fame in Doctor Who and Torchwood.
- Clips from the film became popular internet memes thanks to its unconvincing special effects, a size-changing shark and bizarre dialogue.
