Plot summary
The USS Newark has been missing at sea for nearly two months, and its cargo from an experimental military project was meant to stay secret. The government locates the submarine sixty miles from the California coast and wants the cargo back, so it puts together an accomplished salvage team. Dr. Carly Ryan, who headed the original project, joins the team, along with her assistant. They are to bring up the cargo and find out why the submarine disappeared. The team does not know about the danger inside the Newark.
