Plot summary
After a horse riding accident leaves Sarah Rexton blind, she goes to stay with her uncle George Rexton's family in the English countryside. She learns her way around the house and adjusts to life without sight, and her boyfriend, Steve Reding, takes her out on a date. A psychopathic killer is stalking the family, and Sarah, moving through the same rooms, has no way of seeing the danger.

- André Previn, then married to Mia Farrow, wrote the first score for See No Evil, but producer Leslie Linder disliked it and hired David Whitaker, whose score was also thrown out before Elmer Bernstein was brought in.
- Writer Brian Clemens recalled that Columbia Pictures agreed to buy his spec script only if Mia Farrow played the lead; she read it, liked it, and the film was shot.
- To play Sarah, a blind woman, Mia Farrow visited a hospital for the blind and wore special contact lenses during the shoot to convey blindness, and took riding lessons from stuntman Max Faulkner.
- For starring in See No Evil, Mia Farrow was paid a sum of $200,000 as well as ten percent of the film's profits.
