Plot summary
Eddie Deacon, a onetime Marine Corps security captain, is hired as a guard at a mall and meets his new colleagues: Vance, Ruby, Mason, and Johnny. Elsewhere, mercenaries attack a convoy of US Marshals carrying a girl, Jamie, to a trial against organized crime. The marshals are killed, and Jamie gets away and takes shelter in the mall. The mercenaries' leader, Charlie, comes to the guards with a bribe for her handover, and Eddie turns him down. Charlie then warns his crew that failing to bring her back will cost them and their families their lives. Eddie and the other guards build bombs and traps to hold the mall.
