Scourge (2008) on Netflix

Plot summary

The Scourge is an ancient pestilence. It has been sealed in the masonry of a church for a century and a half, until it gets free in a small town. The bodies pile up as it spreads. Sheriff Durst and Deputy Sam are the town's law officers. Scott and Jessie are rekindling their love for each other, and the two of them are what remains between the spawning menace and the rest of the town.
