Russell Ferrier

Russell Ferrier is an actor who came to the profession through training in Toronto, where an instructor at Seneca College, during his communications studies there, told him he should pursue acting seriously. He was selected for a summer course at the University of Toronto arranged with Theatre Ontario, and afterwards spent a year in Los Angeles doing private study and stage performance. Returning to Toronto, he gave three more years to a private studio, where he was mentored in classical work that took in Italian commedia, French comedy, British farce and drama, and he later finished the six-level improvisation program at Second City. In 2004 he was one of three men picked from across Canada for the private Women in the Directors Chair program at the Banff Arts Centre. His career has brought him work with directors and actors including James Cameron, Paul W.S. Anderson and Jason Statham.
