Save Yourselves! (2020) on Netflix

Plot summary

Su and Jack leave Brooklyn for a cabin in the woods that belongs to their friend Raph, planning to turn off their phones and reconnect. On the road, objects drop out of the sky, and with their devices off, word of an attack on the planet never reaches them. At the cabin the two talk about becoming better adults and Su has Jack run through exercises she copied from an online list, which sparks a quarrel. Jack notices a fuzzy ball in the den, and Su calls it a pouffe. When Jack steps outside, Su switches on her phone and hears her mother's voicemails about giant rats in New York that feed on ethanol. In the morning the sourdough starter is empty, the whiskey is gone, and the pouffe has moved.
