Plot summary
Odile, a business executive, is looking for a larger apartment and is dealing with Marc Duveyrier, the estate agent handling it. Her younger sister Camille has just finished a doctoral thesis in history and works as a tour guide in Paris. Simon, who claims to be researching historical radio dramas, is a regular on those tours because he is attracted to Camille, though Camille falls for Marc and they begin an affair. Odile is married to Claude, a weak and furtive man. In the past she was close to Nicolas, a successful businessman who is married with children and has returned to Paris after eight years away; he wants a place of his own so his family can join him. Marc is Simon's boss, and the characters break into songs in the voices of the original artists.
