Plot summary
Anglomard and Sylvette Dieu are raising thirteen children in a small household in Quebec, and Aline arrives as the fourteenth and youngest. Her parents named her after a song by Christophe. Music runs through the family, and a young and timid Aline sings 'Mamy Blue' at a relative's wedding, the first time she performs. She tells her mother she wants to sing for a living, so Sylvette writes a song for her with help from her eldest son. The demo tape goes out to Guy-Claude Kamar, who has worked with a singer the family admires, and two weeks pass with no reply. Then he listens and asks to meet the family, and her voice convinces him she can become an international star.
