Tommy Farrell

Tommy Farrell was an American actor known for sidekick roles and for work in more than 100 films and television shows from 1944 to 1983. Born in Hollywood, he started out on Broadway in Strip for Action as a young drummer, and his first screen part came in Winged Victory, the film adaptation of the Army Air Forces play, while he was a corporal. Through the 1940s he settled into supporting work in B Westerns and serials, and his later films included Kissin' Cousins (1964) and A Guide for the Married Man (1967). His television parts included Corporal Thad Carson in The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin, Chet Holliday in This is Alice and Riff Ryan in The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis, along with recurring guest spots on Room for One More and Here's Lucy. He retired in 1979 and was honored at the 2003 Golden Boot Awards for his Western work.
