Sue Casey
Biography
Sue Casey was an American actress and Hollywood extra whose career included more than 85 productions from 1945 to 2002. Born Suzanne Marguerite Philips in Los Angeles, she was still in high school when a talent agent spotted her and set up studio interviews. Her first film was Holiday in Mexico (1945). She went on to appear in Show Boat (1951), Rear Window (1954), Camelot (1967), Paint Your Wagon (1969), and American Beauty (1999), one of two Best Picture winners she appeared in, the other being An American in Paris (1951). On television she had roles on Gunsmoke, The Dick Van Dyke Show, Family Affair, and Boy Meets World. A model who also made more than 200 commercials, she became familiar to fans of 1960s beach party cinema as the female lead in The Beach Girls and the Monster (1965). Her last screen role came on television in 2002.
