Robert DoQui

Biography

Robert DoQui was an American actor whose career took in film, television and animation. Born in Stillwater, Oklahoma, on April 20, 1934, he served in the U.S. Air Force and moved to Hollywood in the early 1960s. He was especially known for playing the flashy pimp King George in Coffy (1973), Wade in Nashville (1975), and Sgt. Warren Reed in all three RoboCop movies. His other credits included Walking Tall Part 2 (1975), the 1978 miniseries Centennial and the 1990 television film The Court-Martial of Jackie Robinson. He also voiced Pablo Robertson on the cartoon Harlem Globetrotters from 1970 to 1973 and made guest appearances on many series, among them Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Gunsmoke, The Parkers, Mission: Impossible, The Jeffersons, Happy Days and I Dream of Jeannie. He died in 2008.
