Rob Delaney
Biography
Rob Delaney is an American comedian, actor and writer, born in Boston and raised in Marblehead, Massachusetts. He studied musical theater at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, graduating in 1999. He first drew public notice through Twitter, where he began posting in 2009, and in 2012 became the first comedian to win the Funniest Person on Twitter award at The Comedy Awards. With Sharon Horgan he co-created and starred in the sitcom Catastrophe, which aired from 2015 to 2019 and earned him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Comedy Writing. He played Peter Wisdom in Deadpool 2 (2018) and returned to the role in Deadpool & Wolverine (2024). His other films include Hobbs & Shaw (2019), Bombshell (2019), Tom & Jerry (2021), The School for Good and Evil (2022), and Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One (2023). He also wrote for Vice and The Guardian, published a memoir, and appeared in the 2024 series Bad Monkey.
