Plot summary
Rose Durham wants her granddaughter Laurel Haverford, a florist, to be married. She and Laurel's friends, among them a wedding planner who is just as pushy, see Dr. Evan Cooper as the ideal match for Laurel on paper. Laurel herself fears that she will be the last of her generation to marry. She meets Stephen Banks, a cocky man who is all wrong on paper, and he makes her heart leap by chemistry. After meeting him, she keeps dragging her heels.
