Nancy Parsons

Biography

Nancy Parsons, who died in 2001, was an American actress who worked in stage, film, and television. Born in Saint Paul and raised in Minnetonka, Minnesota, she resumed acting in 1974. She starred on stage as Miss Amelia Evans in The Ballad of the Sad Café, Edward Albee's stage version, and won the top prize at the Hugh O'Brian Acting Awards at UCLA. She made her film debut with I Never Promised You a Rose Garden in 1977. She became known for playing the coach Beulah Balbricker in Porky's (1981) and then in Porky's II: The Next Day (1983) and Porky's Revenge (1985), and she played Ida in Motel Hell (1980), earning a Saturn Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Her television guest appearances included Remington Steele, Charlie's Angels, The Rockford Files, Family Ties, and Star Trek: The Next Generation.
