Tony Ganios

Biography

Tony Ganios was an American actor who began his screen career as the tough guy Perry LaGuardia in The Wanderers (1979). He followed that with a role as a onetime football player who became a mountain man in John Belushi's film Continental Divide (1981). That same year he starred as Anthony Tuperello, known as Meat, in the teen-sex comedy Porky's (1981), and he returned for its two sequels. On the Emmy Award-winning 1980s series Wiseguy, he had a five-episode role as a muscular mob lawyer, and he also made a guest appearance on Scarecrow and Mrs. King. In Die Hard 2 (1990) he played a mercenary. Following brief roles in three movies from 1991 to 1993, including Rising Sun, he semi-retired from acting. Born in Brooklyn, he died in 2024.
