Kaki Hunter

Biography

Kaki Hunter is an American actress, architect, and writer born in Silver Spring, Maryland, who first drew notice for her second role, as one of three sisters in Maiden's War, a 1977 West German film. That performance won her Germany's Deutscher Filmpreis gold award for Best Young Actress and Spain's San Sebastián International Film Festival award for Best Actress. She then took the female lead in Roadie (1980) and appeared in Willie & Phil (1980), Whose Life Is It Anyway? (1981), and Just the Way You Are (1984). Her greatest attention came as Wendy Williams in Porky's (1981), a role she returned to in Porky's II: The Next Day (1983) and Porky's Revenge! (1985). On television she had guest roles in Hawaii Five-O, American Playhouse, and Tropical Heat, her last before retiring from acting. After retiring, she taught white water rafting in Utah, wrote the how-to book Earthbag Building, and was active in community theater in Moab, Utah.
