Plot summary
An unidentified broadcaster cuts into television signals around the world and puts its own lineup on the air in place of the scheduled programs. In Washington, a politician discovers the interruptions and passes the news to the President, who calls in advisors; the only suggestion any of them can offer is to switch the sets off. What the intruding signal carries is a run of sketches and spoof commercials, among them a news segment, a celebrity sportsman special, a telethon, and an American Excess card spot. Other parodies take on the New York evening news and a frozen dinner brand, and one sketch reworks Charlie's Angels as Manny's Nymphs.
