Myrna Dell

Myrna Dell was an American actress, model and writer whose career in films and television lasted four decades. Born in Los Angeles, the daughter of silent-screen actress Carol Price, she entered show business at 16, dancing in the Earl Carroll Revue in New York, and made her screen debut in A Night at Earl Carroll's (1940). She signed with RKO Radio Pictures in 1944 and worked her way from chorus and bit parts to featured roles, becoming known for B-pictures, especially noir thrillers and westerns such as Destination Murder (1950), Nocturne (1946) and The Locket (1946). After her RKO contract expired in 1948 she freelanced for Republic, Columbia, Universal, Paramount and Lippert, and her last major film role came opposite the Bowery Boys in Here Come the Marines (1952). She moved largely to television, appearing on Dragnet, Maverick and Batman, and her final film was Buddy Buddy (1981).
