Plot summary
Tomasina 'Tomboy' Boyd works as a mechanic, and she hopes to become a stock car driver. She meets Randy Starr, the stock car racer she has idolized, whose fame is greater than hers. His chauvinistic remarks offend her. The two fall in love, and their romance is put to the test when Tomasina gets a chance to show her racing talents: she and Randy end up competing for a sponsorship contract worth millions of dollars.
