Marc Singer

Marc Singer is a Canadian-American actor known for fantasy adventures and science fiction television. He was born in Vancouver, grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas, and started out with a part in the miniseries sequel to Roots and a gladiator role on the Planet of the Apes television series. He became a familiar face in the early 1980s as Dar, the hero of The Beastmaster (1982) and its sequels, and as Mike Donovan in the miniseries V and its follow-ups. His films include Go Tell the Spartans (1978), High Desert Kill (1989), Watchers II (1990), and Dead Space (1991). On television he played Matt Cantrell during Dallas's ninth season, voiced Man-Bat on Batman: The Animated Series, and later took a recurring part as General Matthew Shrieve on Arrow. He has also acted in theater, including Petruchio in Taming of the Shrew.
