Keith Flippen
Biography
Keith Flippen is an actor who grew up in Lafayette, Louisiana and first studied acting to fulfill a fine arts requirement in school. He went on to attend VA Tech, initially intending to become an aerospace engineer, before switching to acting and graduating in 1990. He then trained at the Eugene O'Neil Theatre Center and, through a Soviet American exchange program, at the State Institute of Theatre, Music, and Film in Leningrad. In 1992 he returned to Russia as US administrator of the Russian American Theatre, overseeing a bicultural Christmas program in St. Petersburg, Moscow, and Minsk that brought 40,000 children to Minsk over ten days. Back in the United States, he performed with Young Audiences of VA, bringing theater to children across the state, and he worked in film, television, and theater until the demands of his screen work led him to give up theater.
