Biography
Jordan Bridges is an American actor, born in Los Angeles and the son of actor Beau Bridges, who directed his first role, at age five, in The Kid from Nowhere. He returned as a child in The Thanksgiving Promise (1986), then stepped away from acting until arts studies at Oakwood School and a theater major at Bard College drew him back, along with a junior year at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. His films include Drive Me Crazy (1999), Frequency (2000), Mona Lisa Smile (2003), Family Plan (2005), Samantha: An American Girl Holiday (2004), A Holiday Engagement (2011), and the Love Comes Softly films Love Takes Wing and Love Finds a Home (2009). Bridges studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art during his junior year in England, where he lived in a Chelsea basement flat and attended West End theater on free passes.
A change of course
Bridges was classically trained and waited tables for several years each in New York and Los Angeles before landing parts in films, television series, and theater.
Early training
Bridges left acting as a child because he did not want to be a child actor, and the arts emphasis at L.A.'s Oakwood School brought his interest back.
