Biography
An American film actress, Fay Helm made roughly 65 films between 1936 and 1946. Born in Bakersfield, California, she took part in drama at the University of Oregon and performed with the Portland Civic Theatre and the Bakersfield Community Theatre before she went to Hollywood in 1936, when she was 22 years old. Her screen credits included Dark Victory (1939), The Wolf Man (1941), Night Monster (1942), Calling Dr. Death (1943), Phantom Lady (1944), One Body Too Many (1944), Son of Lassie (1945) and The Locket (1946). She was perhaps better known for A Child is Born (1939), Lady in the Dark (1944) and Sister Kenny (1946). She died in 2003.
