Plot summary
Settlers have come into the territory because a peace treaty with the Comanches promised them security, and Fort Eagle Rock is the garrison that keeps the peace. When the Comanches go on the warpath, the settlers of the area take shelter inside the fort, where Captain Jackson commands too few soldiers to act. Cliff McPherson arrives at the undermanned post as an undercover agent to lend Jackson his advice and support, and Jackson hires him to look into what caused the uprising. Black Eagle, chief of the Comanche, has led his people to war, and the settlers wait behind the walls.
