Plot summary
Ralph is a 400-year-old vampire who lives with his mother Phoebe. In 1682 he loved Mona, but a jealous pirate killed her with a giant ham bone. Since then, Mona is reincarnated every twenty-two years, falls for Ralph again, and is killed on Halloween by a pirate. In 1990 Ralph wants to end the cycle and meets Mona's latest incarnation, a local singer. He first warns her to stay away, but after seeing her perform at a club, they connect. Ralph claims he has a band, and with his bar friends and years of musical training he forms Rockula. Their first show succeeds, and Ralph and Mona begin dating. Stanley, Mona's former boyfriend and manager, owns a mortuary and does not like Ralph.
