Biography

Cylk Cozart is an American actor whose work also spans directing, writing, and producing; he has appeared in more than 30 films and 20 television shows. Born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, he attended King College on a basketball scholarship. Before turning to acting, he worked as a model in Miami and came close to a basketball career, and he later displayed his court skills in White Men Can't Jump (1992). Among his prominent screen roles are Detective Jimmy Mulvey, who appears opposite Bruce Willis in 16 Blocks (2006), along with parts in Eagle Eye and the family film Adrift. Cozart also co-created and produced Spirit of Life, a project connected with the Sydney 2000 Summer Paralympic Games; that work earned a Videographer Award, an Aurora Award, a New York Film Festival Bronze Award, and a Telly Award.
