Craig Wasson
Biography
An American actor, Craig Wasson began his screen career with small television parts in 1975, including The Bob Newhart Show and The Streets of San Francisco. His first feature was Rollercoaster (1977), and that year he played a singing son-in-law on Phyllis. Two 1978 Vietnam war films followed, The Boys in Company C and Go Tell the Spartans; he wrote and sang the theme song for the first. He earned a Golden Globe nomination for New Star of the Year for Four Friends (1981) and played a junior English professor in Ghost Story (1981). He starred in Brian De Palma's Body Double (1984) and A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987). Later work includes One Life to Live in 1991, Akeelah and the Bee (2006), Sasquatch Mountain (2006), and audiobook narration.

Craig Wasson wrote and sang the folk song "Here I Am (In Vietnam)", which became the theme song for the 1978 Vietnam War film The Boys in Company C, in which he also played a private.
