Biography

AnnaSophia Robb is an American actress, model, and singer who began as a child actress. Her first feature film was Because of Winn-Dixie (2005). She was born in Denver, Colorado. She played Violet Beauregarde in Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) and Leslie Burke in Bridge to Terabithia (2007), a role that won her the Young Artist Awards' leading young actress honor. She also recorded a song for that film's soundtrack, which reached number 90 on the Billboard Hot 100. Later film work included Race to Witch Mountain (2009), Soul Surfer (2011), in which she played surfer Bethany Hamilton, and Rebel Ridge (2024).
