Plot summary
In Shelby Springs, Louisiana, officers ram Terry Richmond, a Marine veteran, and take under civil forfeiture the cash he carries to post his cousin Mike Simmons's bail. Mike is due to be moved to a state prison on Thursday, where he would be at risk for informing on a gangster. Courthouse clerk Elliot refuses to help, but his assistant Summer McBride offers to prepare the paperwork in time if the bail is paid. Liu, a onetime business partner of Terry's, says he will provide the money. Reporting the seizure at the police station brings Terry before Officer Jessica Sims, Lann and Chief Sandy Burnne, who offers to settle the matter on Monday.

- John Boyega was the star when Netflix announced in June 2021 that he had left the project during filming for "family reasons", pausing production while a replacement was sought.
