Plot summary
In Hoyer, Minnesota, in 1990, seventeen-year-old Angela Gray tells the police that her father, John Gray, sexually abused her. John admits to the abuse but says he cannot remember it. Detective Bruce Kenner takes the case, and Professor Kenneth Raines is asked to use recovered-memory therapy to help John recall what happened. Angela's account describes people in masks and someone photographing her, which leads the detectives to look into whether a satanic cult is behind the abuse.
