Cleaner (2007) on Netflix

Plot summary

Tom Cutler is a widower and retired police officer whose business cleans up after deaths. An order attributed to a Detective Jones sends him to an expensive suburban house, where he lets himself in with a key hidden under a potted plant and cleans the blood and tissue with his own chemical mixture. The next morning he returns the key to the homeowner, Ann Norcut, who appears unaware of the visit or the reason for it. When Tom asks his assistant Cherie about the order, she tells him the police never placed it and no Detective Jones exists. He locks the paperwork, photos, audio notes and key away and asks his former partner Eddie Lorenzo for help. Eddie says Ann's husband John is missing, and was due to testify to a grand jury against a corrupt former police commissioner.
