Plot summary
An electrical surge in a hospital morgue shocks a stillborn baby girl and brings her back to life. Ken, a disturbed attendant who secretly photographs corpses, takes the infant home and raises her as his sister, naming her Tess. The revived girl can manipulate electricity, and she believes she was abandoned by mistake rather than born dead. On her sixteenth birthday, Tess finds Ken's hidden photographs. He attacks her, and her power surges awake. Tess leaves to find her biological mother, Lena O'Neill, an actress who now coaches drama students. Lena hesitates to reveal who she is, so Tess tries to get closer by joining the group of students around her.
