Plot summary
Liam Hartwell wakes in the aftermath of a car crash with no memory of his past. A driver he waves down dies at the wheel, and the diner he reaches is full of bodies with pale eyes. Thinking the air is poisoned, he covers his face and follows the address on his driver's license to his own house. News reports blame biological warfare, but when a farmer and then animals die near him, Liam concludes that he is the cause. A woman who cannot remember herself either arrives, and she can stand beside him unharmed. Neither knows what the crash was or why they were together.
