Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Posse from Hell (1961)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Herbert Coleman filmed at Lone Pine, California, where one location, the aptly named Rattlesnake Hill, required thirty rattlesnakes to be removed before filming could begin.
- Huffaker's screenplay departed from his own novel by making Audie Murphy's Banner Cole an outsider gunfighter instead of the marshal's established deputy.
- Posse from Hell was Herbert Coleman's directorial debut, after a long career as an assistant director and associate producer that included working with Alfred Hitchcock.
- Zohra Lampert, a New York method actress, ad-libbed so often that it frequently confused Audie Murphy, though the two worked out their scenes together.
