Plot summary
In South Dakota, Sunny is a sheltered Indian teenager whose mother is away on a business trip. Her outgoing friend Lupe pushes her to throw a party, and Sunny agrees, hoping to impress Hunter, the boy she likes. At the party Hunter leaves with Megan, and Sunny instead has sex with Kyle, a devout Christian; both instantly regret it. The next morning Sunny tells Lupe she lost her virginity but not with whom, so Lupe assumes it was Hunter. In the bathroom Sunny realizes she never removed the condom and fears pregnancy. The local pharmacy refuses them a Plan B pill, so the two decide to drive to a Planned Parenthood in Rapid City in Sunny's mother's car.
