Plot summary
Pauly Shore got his start on MTV and headlined a run of comedies in the 1990s. A Fox series follows, with Shore as a rich man's layabout son; the pilot lands badly with audiences and critics, and almost overnight he is treated as a pariah. Friends keep their distance so their own careers are not damaged. He moves into his mother's attic, where he watches an adult film starring an ex-girlfriend who refuses to see him, and he spends his last 84 dollars on a prostitute who does little for him. One night the ghost of his mentor, the comic Sam Kinison, visits the loft with a suggestion: fake his death. Shore decides to go along with it.
