B-Real

Biography

B-Real is an American rapper who became one of two lead rappers in Cypress Hill in 1991, alongside Sen Dog, and is the group's only constant member. Born in Los Angeles, he developed a distinctive high-pitched, nasal delivery while the group worked on its self-titled debut. That debut was a critical and commercial success, and 1993's Black Sunday debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. The group became the first Latino rap group with platinum and multi-platinum albums. Beyond Cypress Hill, B-Real has recorded with Kush, Serial Killers and Prophets of Rage, and released solo mixtapes plus the albums Smoke n Mirrors (2009) and Tell You Something (2020). He has also worked as a producer and voiced a part for a song in The Rugrats Movie in 1998.
