Plot summary
Christine designs clothing for children. A sick dog shakes a tick onto her, and she is left with an illness her doctors cannot identify and that frustrates her husband, Felix. A woman named Diana arrives at the house saying she is the caregiver Christine hired. Felix and Christine's daughter, Bobs, distrust her. Diana unpacks relics and folk ingredients, traps the tick in a matchbox, builds an altar in her room, and eases Christine's sudden arm pain by passing her hands above her arms. Diana says she has had supernatural powers since childhood, passed on by a dying ongo, and that she has been treated as a witch for using them. Christine lets the treatments continue.

The film's subplot is loosely based on the 2015 Kentex slipper factory fire, the second worst fire incident in the Philippines. The closing song, Pugon by The General Strike, refers to it, and the end credits carry the statement “JUSTICE FOR ALL KENTEX WORKERS”.
