Plot summary
Philippe Haubin, called Phil, is a middle-aged man who lost his memory after a stroke. Millie MacPherson lives in a remote part of the Isle of Lewis and takes care of him there. Soon after they meet, she tells him that the two of them had been in love before his accident, a love they had kept secret from everyone.
