Plot summary
B.O.B. opens the tale from a theater seat, recapping the mutant pumpkins that visited before and promising the audience a story built to give them nightmares. In the Modesto suburbs, Carl Murphy tells the children gathered at the house that a costume contest is about to begin, and that whoever wins will be handed candy equal to their own weight. B.O.B. arrives dressed as a pirate and carries off the whole prize. Outside he meets a zombie carrot, and, taking it for a child in costume, he throws it into the house so it can compete. The carrot bites Carl, who turns into a zombie, and the partygoers run out. Dr. Cockroach blasts the vegetable with his scanner, which brings Carl back to himself.
