Plot summary
Samuel works as a psychoanalyst. His days are filled with patients who come to air grievances, among them rebellious teenagers who hold their parents in contempt. The work has turned him against the idea of parenthood. His partner Mathilde then tells him she is pregnant, and the news terrifies him. Samuel's friend Marc is a bachelor and a womanizer, and the advice he offers does not settle Samuel's anxiety. Marc's sister Dominique is pregnant for the fourth time; she and Georges already have three daughters.
